Enjoy the beauty, skill, and majesty of the flamboyant Fancy Dance, featuring free-style movement with lots of energy, spectacular costumes, and sacred songs from the Northern Plains. In-Flight Theater
The Snow Queen
Set atop floating ice castles, amidst magical masked and flying forest creatures, this spectacular athletic performance is "theatre-in-the-air"-a sixty minute, multi-dimensional experience for all! The cast, both hearing and deaf, retells this famous Hans Christian Andersen tale about love, friendship, and courage through eloquent speech and signing...moving both on the ground and in the air. With characters and a set that goes beyond "normal limits," you'll be wowed by acts using the trapeze and invented aerial floating sculptures immersing you in a rich, fantastical fairy tale world. Exploring real and imagined risk, The Snow Queen inspires us to move beyond perceptions of physical "limitations" in a truly delightful way. The performance is supported by a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive.

NEW DATE - February 20
Lesole's Dance Project
Zulu, Gumboot and Street Dances from South Africa
Dance your way to the tip of the African continent! Experience three exciting cultures...Traditional Ndlamu dance from Zulu villages that give a snapshot of the clothing, customs, live drumming and high energy of South Africa...the moves and percussive sounds of Gumboot, a kind of "instant messaging" dance slapped out on gold miners' rubber boots...and Pantsula, an upbeat urban dance like American hip-hop but with a cultural twist, that audience volunteers are invited to learn! Lesole's Dance Project is a traditional and modern dance company founded in 2003 by native South African Lesole Maine.

DinoRock
Junkyard Pirates
A 40th Anniversary of Earth Day Celebration!
DinoRock's Junkyard Pirates is presented by puppets created from recyclables, who discover that one person's trash is another person's treasure. They meet a recycler named Nettie who inspires them to fight the dreaded Landfill. Nettie explains that a pirate's favorite letter R stands for Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle. Nettie's goal is to shrink Landfill and she enlists the help of the Junkyard Pirates to do just that. With songs like "Reduce The Use," "More Trees, Please" and "You Don't Have To Throw It Away," Nettie and the Junkyard Pirates bring fun and mischief to the task of recycling. Rrrrrr!
